Bealach na Ba Closure Update
Following on from a previous report that the Bealach na Ba will be closing but dates were still undecided there is now a definitive answer.
But following intervention by local councillors due to complaints from the community, SSE have agreed to push back this work until June.
The Road Closures will now take place by SSE Enterprise Telecoms to install cabling for a Ministry of Defence testing station and bring fibre optic broadband into the area, with the Highland council planning to upgrade the single track the road too.
They have announced that the closures will take place between the 11th June and 20th July. These closure will be done overnight between the hours of 6pm and 07:30 am.

It is great that the local community has achieved a more common sense approach as opposed to the initial decision by SSE.
